British composer and singer Georgia Denham
studies composition with Andrew Hamilton, Fumiko Miyachi and Errolyn Wallen at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where she was awarded The Conservatoire Scholarship Award for Composition. An alumna of Aldeburgh Young Musicians, Georgia is actively involved in new experimental and contemporary music as a soprano, studying voice with Susannah Self. Winner of the Philip Bates Song Prize 2017, Georgia is committed to vocal music and performed at her music at Leeds Lieder Festival this year to critical acclaim (Michael White of The Telegraph and New York Times). Previously, she has written for Juice, the New European Ensemble and will have music premiered by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group in June.
